ADA CLAIRE ARNOLD

ARNOLD, ADA CLAIRE - 76, Dartmouth. With great sadness and regret, the family advises of Claire's passing on October 30, 2003 in the Dartmouth General Hospital after a brave struggle with cancer. Born in Saint John, N.B., daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth (Dewar) Smith. She is survived by her husband Bob; brother Donald Smith (Saint John); daughter Beth (Martin) Popoff, Toronto; sons, Paul (Jean) Arnold, Dartmouth; Colin (Siobhan Monaghan) Arnold, Toronto; David (Melanie) Arnold, Dartmouth and eleven grandchildren. Devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and keeper of the faith. Claire was active in church activities and choirs since early youth. She is sorely missed. Sincerest thanks and appreciation for the care given to Claire by the staff at Dartmouth General Hospital - 3rd. floor East Wing. A memorial service in celebration of Claire's life will be held at Forest Hills United Church, 80 Chameau Crescent in Dartmouth, at 3:30 p.m. on Monday November 3, 2003. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. The remains have been donated to Medical Science at Dalhousie University. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation or Forest Hills United Church.
