LISTER, GERTRUDE - At her residence on Sunday, November 9th, 2003; Helena Gertrude (Earle) Lister of the Loch Lomond Villa, formerly of Mansfield Place, wife of the late John Lister. Born in West Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helena (Splane) Lister. Gertrude was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Lancaster Diamond Seniors. Gertrude is survived by her daughter Joan Button (Jim) of Scarborough, Ont., two sons, Brian (Doris) of Saint John, and Lorne (Kathy) of Florida, four grandchildren, Douglas, Sherry, Ronald, Kristina, seven great grandchildren, Kristen, Jamie, Hayden, Colin, Taylor, Victoria, Skyler, one brother Louis Earle of Saint John, several nieces and nephews. Gertrude is predeceased by her daughter, Ruth, sisters, Lena, Hazel and Florence, brothers, Herb, Percy, Charlie, Clarence. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, NB (506-634-1701) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, November 13th, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, followed by a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. Visiting at the funeral home will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Unit of Loch Lomond Villa, the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor's choice.
