A. PERLEY TRACY-GOULD
TRACY-GOULD, A. PERLEY - A. Perley Tracy-Gould of Miramichi passed away December 3, 2003 at the age of 86. Born in Newcastle, he was the son of Alfred and May (Williston) Tracy-Gould. After graduating from Harkins High School, he became a Land Surveyor and was a Charter Member of the Association on New Brunswick Land Surveyors. Perley went overseas in1940-1945 with the 1st Survey Regiment. He graduated from UNB Law School in 1950 and was appointed Queens Counselor in 1972 then Provincial Court Judge in 1975. He spent many years serving on the Miramichi Hospital Board, the Senior Citizen Home, and the Newcastle Town Council. He was a past member of the Rotary Club, Curling Club, and a life member of the Legion. Perley was very passionate about his community as well as for nature. He spent countless hours on projects that he felt would benefit our area because of his belief and pride in the community. He also took great joy from planting trees and enjoying nature. He is survived by his wife Hester, son Jack (Marie), Bob (Yvonne), Ed (Kathy), his daughters Jill (Robert Stewart) and Cindy (Del Moore) as well as eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held today, Saturday December 6, 2003 at 2 P.M. from the H. Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, Miramichi, NB with Rev. Richard Steeves officiating. Burial will follow in the Miramichi Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bell's Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB E1V 1N9. Telephone 506-622-3600.
