Catherine Myers (nee Gerrow)

Catherine (Kay) Meyers (nee Gerrow), 66, formerly of Sydney and residing at Taigh Na Mara, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. She was a daughter of William H. Gerrow of Florence and Agnus B. MacDonald of Sydney Mines. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Johnny (Margaret), Martin (Brenda), Clifford (Joan) and Kevin and by the sunshine of her life, Leah Ann Billard. She is also survived by one brother, Norman (Dodie) Gerrow (Helen) and sister-in-law, Marion. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Robert Myers; brothers, Richard (Dicky), Russell (Bussey), Freddy, Johnny, Yommy and sisters, Mable and Gertty. Visitation will take place Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept., 23, 2008 in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating.
