Paul Beaton

1969-2008 Paul, 39, passed away peacefully on September 17 after a short but courageous battle with esophageal cancer in Yellowknife. He enjoyed his last evening with his children close by. Paul was born in Sydney, Cape Breton. He graduated from U.C.C.B. and worked most of his life in the grocery industry between Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the North. Paul loved his family and was devoted to their well being. Paul is survived by his wife, Pam; children, Connor (10), Delaney (8), Anghus (3) and Sophie (1); his maternal grandmother, Jane Coady; parents, Bo and Mae Beaton of Sydney; siblings Ed (Jan) Sydney, Nancy of Halifax, Terri of Sydney, Allie (Daphne) of Richmond, VA and MaryJane (Daniel) of Sydney. He is also survived by many neices and nephews. Paul would not want us to be sad but to celebrate his joy of life. In lieu of flowers Paul has asked that donations be made to a memorial fund for his children. Donations can be made at any Royal Bank. Branch number 09879, account number 5143201. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 4, 2008, at the Holy Rosary Church, Westmount.
