DESJARDINS, JOYCE - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, December 2, 2003, Mrs. Joyce Desjardins, 73, of Grand Falls passed away. She was the wife of Elmer Desjardins. Born at Grand Falls in 1930, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Rasmussen) Mazerolle. Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Robert (Cindy) of Tolland, Connecticut and Thomas of Gibbons, Alberta, daughters, Karen (Scott Hartford) of Southington, Connecticut, Diane of Saint John and Lisa Ralf of Moncton, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister, Arlene (Bernard St-Peters) of Oldsmar, Florida, brother, David Mazerolle (Bernadette) of Grand Falls, brother in law, Edmond Viel of Van Buren Maine, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Ruth and Christine and brothers, Frederic and George. Her funeral was held Saturday December 6th from the St-Georges Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with Father Normand Godbout officiating. Pallbearers were Tom Desjardins, Lloyd Walker, Scott Hartford, Luc Levesque, David Kertson and Keith Kertson. Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery.
