62, Sydney Howard D. McPhee, 62, of Sydney, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Norman and Leona (DeMaer) MacPhee. He was a member of Sacred Heart parish, Sydney. Howard was a retired steelworker. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Theresa (Parker) of 42 years; a daughter, Norma, Toronto; a son, Daniel (Victoria), Petawawa, Ont.; sisters, Beth (Ron) MacNeil, Beaver Cove, Denise (George) MacLean, Lower Sackville; brothers, Fred, Calgary, Donnie (Sue), South Bar, Dan, Fort St. John, B.C.; grandchildren, Crystal, Robbie, Lucas, Hannah; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation for the late Mr. McPhee will take place Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Anthony O’Connor officiating. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice.
