BROOKS, QUEENIE - Queenie Brooks, formerly of St. George St., Sussex, passed away on December 17, 2003, at the age of 94. Born in Penobsquis, N.B. on July 6, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Seymour and Ida (McCafferty) Brooks. Queenie is survived by her brother Emery of Saint John, three sisters, Edith Bell of Ottawa, Effie Morton (Roy) of Rothesay, Bessie Berry (Bob) of Saint John, 11 nieces, 12 nephews, several great nieces and nephews. Queenie was predeceased by five brothers, Bobby, Carl, Ed, Oris and Gerald, two sisters, Leona James and Jean Bright, her niece, Heather Morton, her sister-in-law Ruby Brooks and by her brother-in-law, Curtis Bell. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Thursday 2-4, 7-9.
