68, Sydney It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and brother, Duncan Hill, on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at his home. Born in Balmoral, Richmond County, he was the son of the late Vernon and Katie Ann (MacNeil) Hill. A retired carpenter, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, morning walks, playing cards and treasured all opportunities to meet people. He was a carefree spirit and loved life. Duncan is survived by his daughter, Donna (Larry) Green and son, Douglas (Kathy) Hill; his grandchildren, Shawn, Ainsley, Christopher, Anna Rae and Bradley; former wife, Dolena Hill; as well as his siblings, Shirley (Mike), Donald (Florence), Evelyn, Derrick (Darlene), David (Faye), William ‘Nicky’ (Vera) and George (Rose Marie) and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rose and brother, John. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice.
