54, Sydney Mines It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Monica (Morgan) Greene at the Northside General Hospital on Sept. 27, 2008, with her family and very close friends by her side. Born in Sydney Mines on July 24, 1954, she was the eldest daughter of Wallace and Dorothy (Drover) Morgan. Monica was a member of Immaculate Conception parish, Sydney Mines, and a former member of the Catholic Women’s League. She loved to get together with family and enjoyed a good game of bingo. She is survived by her loving husband, Greg; sons, Greg (Linelle), Sydney Mines, Kevin (Danielle), Dieppe, N.B.; sisters, Juanita (Gerry Carr), Guleph, Ont., and Louise, Sydney Mines; brother, Alfred ‘Al’ (Brent), Lantz, N.S. She was a wonderful nanna to grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jacob and Dominic. She held a special place in her heart for life long friend, Lawson and her cousin, Pat. She was predeceased by Maryann (Campbell) Greene, Ellis Greene and Peter Campbell. Visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Francis Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Church, Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Hugh MacNeil officiating. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in Monica’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
