MacMILLAN, EBEN (ABIE) A. - Eben (Abie) A. MacMillan of 49 Pleasant Street, St. Stephen, N.B. passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday January 9, 2004 with his loving family by his side. Born in Westville N.S. October 1, 1927 son of the late Eben and Barbara J. (MacKenzie) MacMillan. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Christina (Black), son Bruce (Clare) MacMillan, daughters Heather MacMillan and Bonnie (Douglas) Sprague, grandson Tyler MacMillan, sister Barbara Lee, brothers Roddie and Ross MacMillan, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters Jean and Murdena; and one brother Roy. Abie was employed with the Flakeboard Company until his retirement in 1992. He was Past Master of Victoria Lodge #26, Past Grand District Deputy District #5, Past Patron of Queen Mary Chapter #4 O.E.S., Member of Luxor Shrine Flag Unit, Blue Lodge, Royal Arch, Perceptory and St. Croix Council (Calais, Me.). He loved all sports, but hockey and baseball were his passions, playing and coaching. Resting at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. (506-466-1844) from where funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Boyce Martin officiating. Interment in RollingDam United Church Cemetery, RollingDam, N.B. Visiting at the funeral home on Monday, January 12, 2004, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Masonic service will be held on Monday evening at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. An O.E.S. service will be held on Monday evening at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Cancer Fund, Shriners Hospital Transportation or Charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
