McFARLAND, T. RUSSELL - 1916 - 2004 T. Russell McFarland, of Riverview, and formerly of Saint John, NB passed away at K. E. Spencer Memorial Home on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the age of 87 years. Born in Saint John, NB on April 4, 1916 he was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Hart) McFarland. He was retired from APM where he was president for many years. A founding member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in Riverview, a member of the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association, a Capt. of the Royal Canadian Army during WWII, a former town counsellor of the village of Riverview Heights, also he was a member of The Coverdale Masonic Lodge # 52. He is survived by his wife Reta (Cluett), daughter Dianne Howes of Augusta Georgia, sisters Dorothy Marshall (Gordon) of Hampton, NB, Alice Price of Ketepec, NB, brother Raymond (Bernice) of Ottawa, ON, also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Andrew D., sisters Mary Urquart, Edna Desjardin, and Hilda Curran. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Sunday January 18, 2004 from 7-9pm. The Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association will be holding a prayer service at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:00pm, followed by a prayer service by the Coverdale Masonic Lodge at 7:15pm. The funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church on Monday, January 19, 2004 at 2:00pm with Rev. Albert Snelgrove Officiating. In Russell's memory, donations made to the St. John the Baptist Anglican Church memorial fund would be appreciated by his family. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
