67, Thunder Bay, Ont. Rosemary Nellie McLean, age 67 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital, on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008. Rosemary was born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She moved, with her family, to Thunder Bay in 1981 and had resided here since. She worked as a cook for a number of years at Gerry’s Restaurant. She was married to Norman McLean September 19, 1965 in Sydney. He predeceased her in 1997. Rosemary was a member of the ladies auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5. She loved her computer, especially doing graphics and writing poetry. She also had great affection for her cat, Dusty. Rosemary is survived by her children, Dawn Munshaw (Terry Friske), Michelle Schulzki (Karl), Cindy Gonzales (Tony) and Derek (Monica); grandchildren, Corey, Brandon, Matthew, Kimberley, Michael, Rosa, Jonathon, Daniel, Pedro, Kyle and Nicholas; sisters and brothers, Veronica Ryan, Leona Schennery and Helena West, Johnny Haddad and Joey Haddad. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; grandchildren, Julia, Lindsay, Kathleen and Anthony; sister Marilyn Stover and a very special aunt, Julia Brian, who raised her for most of her growing up years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 when family and friends will gather for the funeral mass in St. Agnes' Church at 10 a.m. celebrated by Rev. James Panikulam. Services will be complete in the church. Interment will take place privately at St. Andrew's Cemetery at a later date. Visitation with friends and family will take place on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel with vigil prayers to be offered on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. If friends desire, memorials to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or St. Joseph’s Hospice would be appreciated.
