SHALALA, RAYMOND HAID - The death of Raymond Haid Shalala of Moncton occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday February 8, 2004, He was 55. Born in Campbellton, son of the Late Frederick George and Irene Elizabeth (Arseneau) Shalala Sr. He was a graduate of Campbellton Composite High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science & Philosophy) from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1978, a Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University in 1979, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick in 1984. He was called to the New Brunswick Bar on August 24, 1984. He was an entrepreneur and businessman, a cherished son, a devoted husband and father, and a loyal brother and friend. Raymond is survived by two sons: Casey and Zachary both of Moncton and their mother Lise (Parent); by five brothers: Rick (Lorena) of Shediac, Bill (Marlene), Mike and Allan of Campbellton; Jim (Susan) of Moncton; by one sister Susan D'Aoust (Milton) of Jemseg; and by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Jerry (1975), and Stephen (1997). Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton Tuesday 2-4, 7-9. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church Wednesday February 11, 2004, 10:30am. Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception following the Service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
