ANDREWS, RITA G. - The death of Rita G. Andrews, wife of the late Horace 'Hawk' Andrews, occurred on February 15, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Rogers) McMurray. She spent the majority of her life in Saint John. She was a member of St. Peter's Parish and had belonged to the CWL as well as the Forever Young Senior Citizens. She served on the Executive of the Liberal Party. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine Walker and her husband Kenneth of St. George, Utah, her grandsons Robert and David Brewer of Halifax, and will be sadly missed by Joan and Tom Doyle of Saint John, Ron and Anne Beniot of Henderson, Nevada, Helen Hamar of Porterville, California, and her special friend Marjorie Evans of Saint John. ?She was predeceased by her brothers Frank and Joseph McMurray and her sisters Martha, Adele, Agnes, Alice Marie and Katherine. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at 9:30 AM, from St. Peter's Church. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
