86, Dominion It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Dorothy Margaret MacKenzie on October 8, 2008 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Born in Broughton, she was the daughter of the late Dan W. and Margaret (Fiander) MacDonald. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Resa Cyr (Gerald) in Sydney and Annice (Bill) Summerell in Reserve Mines; two sons, Danny (Sherry) and Billy (Janet), both of Dominion; four sisters, Annice Locke, Anna (Lloyd) Lamb, Mary MacQuarrie, all of Glace Bay and Willa Clark in California. Dorothy is also survived by nine grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Charles and a sister, Kathryn Willett. Visitation for the late Dorothy MacKenzie will take place on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Goodfellow officiating. A private family burial to follow in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only please. Donations in Dorothy’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
