BURPEE, SARAH THOMPSON - The death of Sarah (Sally) Thompson Burpee of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, February 19th, 2004. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late David and Bessie (Thompson) Burpee. Sarah was an avid bridge player and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Sally taught school in Fort Kent, Maine and later was a bookkeeper at the Victoria Public Hospital in Fredericton. Survived by one nephew, A. Jon Corey (Sylvia) of Bedford, NS; one niece, Sally Haynes (Richard) of Ashland Mass; four great nieces and nephews; six great - great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents, sister, Dorothy and brother in law Dr. A.J. Corey. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, February 22nd, from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Monday, February 23rd, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Ralph Irving will officiate.
