
Norma Euphemia 'Fema' Morrison

69, Cleveland We, the family of Norma Euphemia ‘Fema’ Morrison, 69, of Cleveland, regret to announce the passing of a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, nanny and friend on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, after a very courageous seven-year battle with cancer. Born in Gabarus Lake, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Mary (Ferguson) MacKay. Fema was a member of the Grand River Presbyterian Church, the church choir and the Pictou County Antique Car Club. She enjoyed travelling, attending concerts, bluegrass festivals and sitting down to a cup of tea or coffee with family and friends. Some people travelled long distances to enjoy her oatcakes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed the entertainment of music and song of her two grandsons. Surviving are her husband, A.D.; son, Terry (Marlene), Cleveland; sister, Annabel MacLeod, Fourchu; grandchildren, Nevin and Brent. She was predeceased by her stepmother, Grace MacKay. Visitation will take place at Grand River Presbyterian Church, Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the church Monday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Murdock MacRae officiating. Interment in Ferguson Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
