Kingston, Ont. Katheryn Elizabeth Ellis passed away at her home in Kingston Ont. on Sept. 23, 2008, after a prolonged illness, surrounded by her family. Born in Woodbine, Cape Breton on Dec, 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Angus Walter and Catherine MacLean. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; two daughters, Shelly (Bruce) Hunter, Kitchener, Ont., Shannon (Jim) Oshefslci, Red Deer, Atla.; stepdaughter, Sandra (Ron) Hughes, Prescott, Ont.; sister, Rita Anstey, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Theresa MacLean, Howie Centre; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Stephen, Alex, Francis and Angus and three brothers in infancy, sisters, Margaret Hickey and Theresa O’Grady. Funeral mass will be held on Oct. 16, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, East Bay, Fr. Francis Abbass officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
