69, Mississauga/Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, Catherine Florence (Morrison) McMullin, which occurred on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Morrison and Cecilia (Burke) MacKenzie. In her pastime, she always enjoyed spending time with her husband, her children and her grandchildren, her family always came first in her life. Catherine is survived by her children, Debbie McMullin, Bev McMullin (Doug Slade) with whom she resided for the past five weeks, Michael (Leslie) McMullin, Joe (Bobbi) McMullin, all of Ontario; brother, Alex (Hughena) Morrison, sister-in-law, Isabell Morrison; brother-in-law, Frank (Lorna) McMullin; sister-in-law, Mary McMullin, all of Glace Bay; brother-in-law, Mick (Brenda) McMullin, Petawawa; as well as five grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael, Cody, Stephen and Alex. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Robert McMullin, daughter, Cathy McMullin, brother, Bobby Morison, Ontario, sister, Phyllis (Morrison) MacDonald, Glace Bay, and brother, Ervin Morrison, Glace Bay. At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private family memorial service will be held in Ontario. Burial will take place in Glace Bay at a later date. Gone but never forgotten.
