CARL FLOYD BATEMAN

BATEMAN, CARL FLOYD - The death of Carl F. Bateman of Queenstown, NB occurred at his home on Wednesday, March 24th, 2004. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late John and Mamie (Dagway) Bateman and husband of Amelia (LeBlanc) Bateman. Carl was the past Provincial Cribbage Chairman and he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #71 for many years. Survived by his wife, Amelia; daughters, Theresa Cormier (Joe) of Barachois, NB, Linda Gallagher (Sidney Bullen) of Saint John, NB, Louise Piper (Manfred) of Queenstown, NB and Rosemary Bateman of St. Marys, ON; sons, Patrick (Jennifer) and Tony (Anne) all of Saint John, NB; sister, Geraldine Huskins of Fredericton; brother, Paul Bateman of Alberta; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; son, Noel; daughter-in-law, Madeline; one sister and three brothers. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, March 25th and Friday, March 26th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 71 will hold a tribute service on Friday, March 26th, 2004 at 7:30 pm. The funeral service will take place in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 27th, 2004 at 10:30 am. Rev. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will take place in the Central Hampstead Cemetery following the service.
