PEARSON, RICHARD BAIN - The death of Richard B. Pearson of Burton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, March 28th, 2004. Born in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Bain) Pearson. Mr. Pearson worked in Saint John for many years at Canada Post and upon retirement he moved to Burton. He served as President of The Canadian Boxing Federation for three years, and as National Commissioner for twelve years. He is survived by his canine companion, Sam; nephew, David A. Ritchie (Katherine) of Burton, NB; niece, Bettie Lynn Meunier of Laketon, NB and several nieces and nephews in Alberta, Ontario, Saint John NB, Douglas NB and Bellisle Creek NB. He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Margaret H. Ritchie, nephew Ralph Pearson Ritchie. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, NB. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
