HARRY EDWARD HAMPTON
HAMPTON, HARRY EDWARD - The death of Mr. Harry Edward Hampton, loving husband of Muriel (Lackie) Hampton, of 89 Stockfarm Road, Quispamsis, occurred peacefully on Easter Sunday morning, April 11, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born December 5, 1910 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret (Smith) Hampton. Harry had been employed with the Saint John Shipbuilding for 38 years, and was a member of the Saint John Shipbuilding Union Local # 3 from 1939-1975. He was also a past member of the Knights of Pythians. Besides his loving wife Muriel, he is survived by three sons David Hampton (Deborah) of Quispamsis, William Hampton (Sandra), of Calgary and Robert Hampton (Cindy) of Quispamsis; two daughters Mary Lou Yax (Michael) of Michigan and Barbara Beaugrand (Paul) of Calgary; seven grandchildren Garrett, Stephanie, Marci, Joshua, Sara, Kendall and Jacob. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Lulu Hampton and half sister Louise Yardley. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday April 15, 2004 at 11 a.m. The family would appreciate donations made to the charity of the donor's choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
