BATES, JEAN YOUNG ROBINSON - The death of Jean Young Robinson Bates occurred unexpectedly on April 19, 2004, at her residence. Born in Vancouver, BC, she was the daughter of the late John Baird and Florence (Robinson) (Baird) Jukes. She was a local school teacher throughout her career. She was a member of St. John & St. Stephen Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter Susan and her husband Frank Lapointe of Kansas City and her grandchildren Karli and Brad Lapointe. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2004, at 10:00 AM from the Church of St. John & St. Stephen. Following the service cremation will take place.
