BOURQUE, VELMA (DOUCETTE) - The death of Mrs. Velma (Doucette) Bourque, loving wife of Theo Bourque, of Martinon, occurred peacefully at her home on Wednesday April 21, 2004. Born February 2, 1940 in Collette, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edmee (Melanson) Doucette. Velma had worked for Fundy Linen for 16 years, retiring in 1997. Besides her loving husband Theo, she is survived by sons Daniel and Brian; daughters Bernice Tracey (Dennis) and Dianne Bosfet (Brian) all of Saint John; brother Rheal Doucette (Elda) of Collette, NB; sisters Lena Doucette (Eugene) of Collette, NB, Elva Bourque (Yvan) of BC, Lucy Blacqueire of Saint John, Lorette Parker (Don) of Florida, Claudelle St. Coure (Hormidace) of Neguac, NB, Annette Doucette (Gerald) of Massachusetts and Rosselle Doucette (Richard) of Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Timothy, Thomas and Chantalle, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Dora Bourque and Rena Savoie. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424), with visitation on Friday April 23, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from our Lady of Assumption Church on Saturday April 24, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Following cremation, interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
