Passed away suddenly but peacefully at his residence, on July 9, 2008. George Francis Duke, age 59 years. Predeceased by his son Jason, 2006; his parents Molly and James Duke; brothers: Paddy and Bobby. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his wife Debbie (Cox); sons: Neil and David (Chantelle) and daughter Melissa; brothers: Bill (Agnes), Wally (Lil), Paul (Patsy), Jim (Kay), Chuckie, Tony (Wanda); sisters: Daphne (Harv Strickland), Peggy, Linda (Ralph Noseworthy), Bev (Charles Noseworthy); brothers-in-law: Fred Cox (Lorraine), Eugene (Valerie), Edward (Jean); sisters-in-law: Doris in Halifax, Bella (Dave Biddiscombe), Sarah Legrow and Janet Hayes; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral Mass 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2008 from St. Teresa's Parish with cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
