GORDON "CURLY" E. BROWN
BROWN, GORDON "CURLY" E. - The death of Gordon "Curly" E. Brown of Hampton, husband of Evelyn (Totten) (Harrison) Brown occurred April 21, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born at Hampton, son of the late Blair and Margaret (Wheaton) Brown. Gordon was a lifelong resident of Hampton where he worked in a grocery store, hardware store and Hampton Community Centre retiring in 1987. He volunteered at various nursing homes in Kings County playing music for the residents. Gordon was a member of Maranantha Seventh Day Adventist Church, Hampton. Surviving besides his wife are five daughters, Gloria Hayward (Russ) of Sussex, Barbara O'Dell (Harvey) of Lacombe, Alberta, Mary Cullum (Carl) of Quesnel, BC, Susan Coleman of Hampton, Cindy Gray (Bill) of Saint John; four sons, Wayne (Louise) of Terrace, BC, Ivan (Rowena) of Rothesay, Stuart of Quesnel, BC, Bruce of Rothesay; two step-daughters, Sherry Harrison of Rothesay, Diane Nash of Calgary; two sisters, Jean Prosser of Hampton, Donna Campbell (Jimmy) of Saint John; three brothers, Vernon (Martha) of Quispamsis, Donald (Dee) of Saint John, Richard (Betty) of Titusville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mabel, two brothers, Ivan and Murray and sister Pauline. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Saturday, 3:00 pm, at Maranantha Seventh Day Adventist Church, Hampton with Pastor Jack LeBlanc officiating. Interment in Christ Church Cemetery, Bloomfield.
