Agnes (Paruch) Mikulas

100, Sydney It is with regret the family of Agnes (Paruch) Mikulas announces her passing Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Frances Paruch. Agnes lived most of her life in the United States, mainly in Detroit, where she married her husband, Emil Mikulas in 1935. After the death of her husband in 1979, she returned to Sydney to be with family. Left to mourn are her sisters, Frances (Gino) Mei, Sudbury, and Teresa (Arnold) MacQueen, Sydney; sisters-in-law, Flo Paruch, Caroline Paruch and Pam Paruch; many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews, throughout Canada and the United States. Besides her husband, Agnes was predeceased by her sisters, Charlotte Tasseff, Mary Chappell, Sophie Walsh and Josephine Paruch, brothers, Frank, John Michael and Joseph ‘Buddy’ and two brothers in infancy, brothers-in-law, Chris Tasseff, Norman Chappell and James Walsh. There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The family would like to send sincere thanks to the management and staff of St. Ann’s Bay at Harbourstone Enhanced Care.
