MURPHY, GEORGE E. - Mr. George E. Murphy of the Kiwanis Nursing Home and formerly of Norton, NB passed away at his residence on May 3, 2004 at the age of 92. Born in Millstream, NB, he was the son of the late Frederick and Jessie (Northrup) Murphy. George is survived by Verna his beloved wife of 66 years, five daughters; Doris Everett (George) of Oshawa, Ontario, Shirley Adler (George) of Etobicoke, Ontario, Dianne Bursey (Gord) of Sarnia, Ontario, Vivian Mercer (Lawrence) of Norton, Sheila McCrea (Jim) of Pearsonville, three sons; Preston, Wayne both of Ontario; Donald (Angela) of Norton, his sister, Phyllis Green of Apohaqui, 20 grandchildren as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his son Walter who passed away in 1996, by his sisters, Eunice Coleman and Irene Fenton and by his brothers Hawlie, Preston and Fred. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Tuesday 7-9 and Wednesday 2-4, 7-9pm.
