DOUCETTE, VINCENT JOSEPH - The death of Vincent Joseph Doucette, a resident of Ridgewood Veterans Hospital, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, May, 8th, 2004 at the age of 78. Vincent was the son of the late Francis and Jane (Girard) Doucette. He was employed by the CPR for 35 years and lived in West Saint John all his life. Vincent served with the 8th Hussars of the Canadian Armed Forces as a Gunnery Operator. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church. He leaves to mourn three sisters, Mrs. Leonora Watters of Saint John, Mrs. Eva Dunn of Otterburn Park, Quebec and Mrs. Evelyn Parfitt of Keewatin, Ontario, several nieces and nephews. Vincent was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, NB (506-634-1701) from where the visitation will be held on Tuesday, May, 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May, 12th, 2004 at St. Rose of Lima Church with time to be announced. The interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery followed by a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors' choice.
