Shane Christopher Johnston
1975 - 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved partner, father, son and brother, Shane Christopher Johnston, 33, due to a tragic car accident. Born in Sydney, Shane was the son of Debbie (Oursen) Johnston, Sydney and Colin Johnston, Fort McMurray. Left to mourn his passing are his partner, Kate Rigby; sons, Brady and Asher D.; sisters, Erin and Ainslie; brothers-in-law, Charlie and Morgan; parents-in-law, Doug and Valerie Rigby; grandparents, Abbie and Rose Oursen and Colleen Johnston and the late Dan Johnston; nieces, Gabrielle and Sadie; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Shane was a red seal welder by trade, working in Fort McMurray. Shane loved life and had a strong passion for the outdoors. He loved his family and friends; always a smile on his face, and a good word about everyone. His spirit will forever live through his boys and reside in Johnston’s Harbour. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
