age 62. Born in Carbonear on February 12, 1945, passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on February 7, 2008, after a long and exceptionally courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her loving parents, James and Doris Kelloway. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, Hubert, her dedicated husband of over 40 years; daughter Lisa (husband Doug and Doug's parents, Doreen and Pat Shallow); her precious grandchildren: Myah and J.P. Shallow; son Darren (wife Jill and Jill's parents, Reg and Rosemary Anthony); special friends: Sylvia Walsh, Dianne Traverse and Carol Mackey; and a wide circle of other relatives and friends. A special debt of gratitude is owed to the many physicians, nurses and other health care professionals whose expertise, coupled with Marjorie's incredible strength and resolve, allowed her to defy the odds and enjoy the many blessings of life for nearly 10 years after her initial diagnosis. Thavanathan, Dr. Lisa Gillis, and the nursing staff of 5 South A in the Health Sciences Centre - your kindness, commitment and compassion will never be forgotten. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.; on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon.
