Good things come in small packages. There is a time for everything A season for every activity under Heaven A time to be born and a time to die A time to plant and a time to harvest A time to cry and a time to laugh A time to grieve and a time to dance Rejoicing for a life well lived, we announce that our mother, Irene Isabelle Fry, has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour in Heaven. Mom will be reunited with our father George, our infant brother George, her infant granddaughter Ashley and her infant grandson Todd. Loved and cherished by us who were so blessed to have her, daughter, Joan and husband Dave, son, Allen and wife Susan and son, Charles and wife Violet. Grandsons, Brian and wife Amanda, Scott and wife Trina, Daric and wife Shawnna and Jordan. Granddaughter Angela and husband Dave. Great-grandchildren, Brianna, Lauren, Alyssa, Madison, Jessie, Landon, Michelle, Ernie, Mitchell, Mason, Marek ,Matthew and Mom’s sister Cora Musgrave her husband Glenn and their children Glenn, Mona, Brett and families. Mom was born in Florence, N.S., March 28, 1930, and moved to Welland in February 1948 to be with Dad as he was here searching for work. During her work career she blessed the halls of the old hospital, Brights canning factory and Stelco, but the position she loved most was pharmacy technician at Welland Medical Pharmacy where she remained until her retirement. Mom was a member of Newlife Fellowship in St Catharines and was very active in a program for single parents and their children and she enjoyed kitchen duty. A long-standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4, she was a member of the ladies auxiliary and shared many stories of the fun and hard work that they are involved in. Mom loved the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs, who she believes will win the Stanley Cup this year (what faith!). We invite you to join in the celebration of our mother’s life to be held at the Welland Funeral Home, 827 East Main St., Welland, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Chapel with family present from 10:30 a.m. Mom’s friend and Pastor, Pastor Don Thibeault will be officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
