MARR, ALFRED HERBERT - The death of Alfred Herbert Marr, husband of Marion Winnifred (Lackie) Marr, occurred on May 16, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Allan H. and Charlotte Kathleen (Moore) Marr. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was employed with the Corps of Commissionaires from where he retired from Rothesay Paper in 1978. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters Betty and her husband Fred Hopey of Saint John, Mary Sullivan of Quispamsis, his step-son Wayne Cochrane and his wife Amy of Baines Corner, and his several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was also predeceased by his step-daughter Wanda and her husband John Bonnell. Following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), the graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2004, at 1:00 PM at Fernhill Cemetery.
