Eunice McGean

Sydney Mines It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eunice McGean of Sydney Mines on Oct. 27, 2008. Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Donovan) Morgan. She was a member of Immaculate Conception parish, Sydney Mines. Eunice is survived by her husband, Melvin McGean; her sons, Brian (Sherri), Halifax, Wayne (Laurie), Sydney Mines, Kenneth (Sharon), Alberta, Darren (Wendy), Ontario, David (Sheri), Sydney Mines, and Keith, Sydney Mines; and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Eileen Gerrow, Jean (Robert) McGean, Mildred (Dan) Young and Yvonne (Dougie) Serroul; brothers, Wallace (Dorothy) Morgan, Clarence Morgan and Carl Morgan and Lillian. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, John and Viola McGean, her brother, Joseph Morgan and her sister, Blanch Whitty. There will be a private family viewing Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. in Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Sydney Mines, with Fr. Hughie MacNeil officiating. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
