QUIGG, MARTHA W. - 89. Haverhill, MA. Martha W. (Keegan) Quigg, 89, died at Baker-Katz Nursing Home on May 31, 2004. The widow of Joseph Quigg, who died in 1963, she was born in Enniskillen, New Brunswick, March 2, 1915, daughter of Francis and Catherine (Hogan) Keegan. She moved with her husband and family to Maine in 1951 and, following her husband's death, moved to Haverhill in 1965. A seamstress all her life, she worked for some years for Samuel Roberts as a stitcher of designer clothing. Her survivors include her daughter Eleanor (Quigg) Howard of Haverhill; sons Edward and his wife Marie of Haverhill and Leo of North Berwick, Maine; daughter-in-law Phyllis Quigg of Grand Junction, Colo; sister Agnes Breen of Cambridge; sisters-in-law Margaret Keegan of Saint John, New Brunswick, Helen Keegan of Harvey, New Brunswick, and Lisa (Quigg) O'Hara of Stanley, New Brunswick. Grandchildren include Veronica (Howard) Dansereau of Merrimac, Christina (Quigg) Smedile of Haverhill, Karen (Quigg) Daviduk of Kingston, N.H., Renee Quigg of North Hampton, N.H., Joseph Quigg of Phoenix and Elizabeth Quigg of Grand Junction. She leaves 12 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert of Phoenix; her brothers Robert and George Keegan of New Brunswick; and sister Mary Breen of West Newbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baker-Katz Nursing Home Activities Department, 194 Boardman St., Haverhill, MA 01830 or to the charity of one's choice. The funeral mass was held Thursday morning at St. James Church in Haverhill, MA. Burial will take place on Saturday, June 5, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Cemetery, Westfield, NB.
