GREEN, DORIS A. - At the Grand Manan Hospital on June 9th, 2004 Mrs. Doris A. Green of Seal Cove, Grand Manan Island passed away, she was 87. Born in Knoxford, NB, she was the daughter of the late Wilmot and Pearl Estey. Doris left home to find work in the late 1930's in Black's Harbour where she met Deverne, they later married and moved to Seal Cove where they made their home and raised their family. She was a faithful member of the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church and a loving wife and mother to her family. She is survived by her husband Mr. Deverne M. Green Sr., one daughter Mrs. Judy (John) Lewandowski of Halifax, four sons, Mr. Deverne Green Jr. of Castalia, NB, Mr. Perley Green of Kamloops, BC, Mr. Elwin (Wendy) Green of Milton, ON, and Mr. Hallet (Connie) Green of Saint John, NB, also one sister Mrs. Elva Elliott of Centerville, NB, and one sister-in-law Delores, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Malcolm Estey. Visiting hours will be held at the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and the Funeral Service will be held from the Church Saturday, June 12th, 2004 at 1:30pm with Pastor Ward McComiskey officiating, interment to follow at the family plot at the Hillside Cemetery.
