COREY, L. RAYMOND - L. Raymond Corey of Havelock, age 83, passed away, Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital. Born September 22, 1920 in East Canaan, he was a son of the late Charles and Pearl (Kierstead) Corey. He was a retired carpenter and attended the Wesleyan Church. He is survived by daughters, Brenda Kane (Russell) of Cessford, AB, Darlene Kane (Clayton) of Lower Coverdale; step-son, Alvin Sleep (Faye) of Fork Stream; sisters, Doris Coleman of Moncton, Faith Clarke of Petitcodiac; brothers, Lawrence Corey (Mary) of Canaan, Holly Corey of Canaan, Harold Corey (Edith) of Petitcodiac, Roy Corey (Edith) of Truro, NS; grandchildren, Randy Sleep, Renea Sleep, Matthew Kane, Laura Beuckert, Aaron Kane, David Kane; step grandchildren, Danny, Michael and Connie Garland; great grandchildren, Jeremy Sleep, Chelsey Sleep, Justin Kane, Brendan Beuckert, Bailey Beuckert, Sawyer Beuckert; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mabel (Black); brother, Russell; sister, Myrtle Woodman. Resting at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, with visiting hours on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 2:00 pm, Rev. D. Tatton officiating. Burial will be held in Greenhill Cemetery.
