PATTERSON, ROBERT JOSEPH - The death of Mr. Robert Joseph Patterson, loving husband of June (Publicover) Patterson, of Saint John, occurred on Monday June 21, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1936 in Amherst, NS, he was the son of the late Alfred and Margaret (Fraser) Patterson. Robert was employed with Irving Oil for 27 years and was in the Air Force with 426 squadron for 7 years. Besides his devoted wife June, he is survived by his daughters Catherine Evans (Richard) of Ontario, Susan Kyte (Val) of PEI and Deborah Beckwith (Mark) of Saint John; half brother William O'Brien (Linda Dion) of NS; half sister Sharon McKenzie (Stuart) of NS; grandchildren Jennifer, Amanda, Andrew, Elizabeth and James; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Doreen O'Donnell and Florence Smith. Following cremation, the family will receive visitors on Wednesday June 23, 2004 from 7-9 p.m., at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424). A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday June 24, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
