BROWN, HILDA MYRTLE - 98, of Seal Cove, Grand Manan Island passed away at her home, Thursday morning, June 24, 2004. Born in Seal Cove, she was the daughter of Frank and Hattie (Benson) Ingersoll. Mrs Brown was a homemaker, and worked boning and stringing herring as well as working as a merchant with her late husband Melvin. She was a member of the Seal Cove Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years. She is survived by five daughters, Beulah (Howard) Ingalls, Grand Harbour, Estella Harvey, Seal Cove, Meredith (Mae) (Owen) Ingalls, Seal Cove, Greta Frost, North Head, Ellen Bleumortier, North Head; one son, Lincoln Ross Brown, Seal Cove; also survived by 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Predeceased by one daughter Irma Middleton, Sussex, one sister Esther Morse Benson, and one brother Ross Ingersoll. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home, Friday, June 25th, 2004 from 2-4 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Seal Cove Baptist Church on Sunday, June 27th, at 3:00 pm. with Rev. Robert Trites officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Seal Cove.
