
BEATRICE M. CHATWIN
CHATWIN, BEATRICE M. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother at her residence on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2004 at the age of 87, with her family at her side; Beatrice Mary (Hammond) Chatwin of the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB, wife of the late Harold James Chatwin, formerly of French Village Road, Wells. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Born in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late W. Gordon and Loretta M. Daley Hammond. Beatrice was a former member of the Hampton Resource Centre in Hampton. She took pride in and enjoyment in her various crafts as well as her knitting and crocheting. Beatrice is survived by her four children, all of French Village Road, Loretta (Daryl) Madill, Mary (Steve) Madill, Willard (Joyce) Chatwin and Jim Chatwin; two brothers Earl L. Hammond (Betty) of West Saint John and William G. Hammond (Eileen) of Ajax, Ont.; 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. Beatrice was predeceased by a sister Nora McNulty, and her husband Bill, brother Walter Hammond and his wife Rita. Resting at Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB (849-1702) from where the visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 26th, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Rothesay, NB. The interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Golden Grove Road. Donations may be made to the NB Extra Mural Program, the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton or charity of the donors' choice.
