(nee King) February 20, 1957 - July 10, 2008. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family and friends on July 10, 2008, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Jacki is survived by her cherished son Christopher; her partner Gerry Kennedy; mother Velma King; brother Jim King (Corrine) and friends: Tom Hollett and Jill Clements. Predeceased by her father William (Bill) King. The family would like to thank the palliative care team at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre and Dr. O'Shea, O'Rourke and Greenland for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jacki's honor to the Lung Association. In respect of Jacki, Jiffy Cabs and Newfound Cabs fleet of cars will be joining the funeral procession from Barrett's Funeral Home to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
