FORTUNE, GEORGE WILLIAM - The death of George William Fortune, after a period of failing health, occurred on Thursday July 1, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife Doris (Tayes) of Rowley; three sons Walter, Edward and Roger (Stacey); one daughter Diane Barrieau all of Saint John County; one special grandson James Kenneth of Fort MacMurray; brothers Stanley of Rowley and Stephen of Baines Corner; sister Sandra Inez of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, visitation will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) on Friday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Followed by the funeral service at 8:30 p.m. in the chapel.
