GEORGE, ISABEL MARY - The death of Isabel Mary George of Fredericton NB, the wife of the late George E. George occurred July 11th, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was born on March 19th, 1910 in Hardin, Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Nazeme and Sadie (Hassy) Zaher. She moved to Mexico as a young girl married George E. George and later moved to Fredericton in 1927 where she resided ever since. Isabel was a life long member of St. Dunstan's Catholic Church and the CWL. She was very faithful and dedicated to church and her faith. Her devotion and love of her family was evident to all who knew her. She was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren and opened her home to everyone. Isabel was a very kind and gracious lady who will be remembered for her generosity, love and sweet smile. Survived by seven children, Helen (John) Roman of Allentown, PA, Louis (Roberta) George of Fredericton, NB, Joseph (Beverly) George of Fredericton, NB, Mary Manatakos of Fredericton, NB, Anthony George of Fredericton, NB, Dr. Edward (Katherine) George of Houston, Texas and Elizabeth George of Fredericton, NB; Isabel was the grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George E; one grandson Steven Manatakos; son-in-law Peter Manatakos; daughter-in-law Rosemarie George; one brother, George Zaher and two sisters, Philomeno Coury and Jaunita Zaher Constanino. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 from 7-9 and Wednesday July 14, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 12:00 noon with Monsignor Brian Sheehan as celebrant. Interment will be in the Hermitage Cemetery.
