DUCHESNEAU, LEO CLAUDE - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB, July 9, 2004, after a brief illness, Leo Claude Duchesneau of Oak Bay, NB. Born July 13, 1909 at Pike River, Quebec. Son of the late Emery and Josephine (Boudreau) Duchesneau. Leo moved to New Brunswick at a young age and married Mynia Young in 1936. He served in the Canadian Army during World War II and later moved to Oak Bay, NB. Leo was a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #9. A man with a great love for his family, devotion to his God and patriotism for his country. He lived his life serving these principles. Survived by two sons, Paul (Madelyn) of Oak Bay, NB, Robert (Annette) of New Hampshire, three daughters, Janet, Mrs. James Ott, of Nova Scotia, Pauline, Mrs. Franklin Sadler, of Maine, Rose Marie, Mrs. Larry MacDonald, of Yukon, 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 brother Abbe of Quebec, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, grandson Trevor, four brothers and three sisters. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday July 12, 2004 at 10 AM at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Union Street, St. Stephen, NB, with Rev. Paul Riley officiating. Interment Milltown Catholic Cemetery, Barter Settlement, NB. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. The S.O.
