BRANSCOMBE, GILBERT - Gilbert Branscombe, of Sussex Corner, passed away on July 29, 2004 at the age of 66. Gilbert was the son of the late J. Gilbert Branscombe and Frances (Whalen) Branscombe-Hanley. Gilbert is survived by his wife Alice (Cummings), his daughter, Lorie Toupin (Andre) of Truro, his son, Shane (Laurie) of Halifax, his three brothers, Murray Branscombe (June) of Belleville, Ontario, Thomas Hanley (Carol Ann) of Fredericton and Patrick Hanley (Moira) of New Zealand, four sisters, Edna Miklos of Lethridge, Alberta, Doris Branscombe of Montreal, Serena Renner (Paul) of Sussex Corner and Glenna Hanley of St. Albert, Alberta, a sister-in-law, Jean Branscombe of Fredericton, brother-in-law Warren Mason of Newtown, three grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Gilbert was predeceased by his stepfather, Thomas Hanley, brother Michael Ward and by his sister, Marita Mason and brother-in- law Steve Miklos. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Saturday 7-9 pm, Sunday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Sunday at 6:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Monday, August 2, 2004 at 11:00 am.
