RODGERS, GORDON ROBERT - The death of Gordon Robert Rodgers of Baxters Corner, NB, husband of Margaret (Burchill) Rodgers occurred in the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 15, 2004, surrounded by his family. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Jones) Rodgers. Gordon lived and breathed trucking, working for Sunbury Transport Limited for over 20 years. He would be in his own special heaven when he was in his old greasy clothes working on his truck. His other great passion in life was his dog Ocean; one would never been seen without the other. Gordon is survived by one son Robert (Karie Doyle) Rodgers; three daughters, Janice (Bob Mortimer) Rodgers, Anita (Brent) Seymour, Pauline Rodgers all of Baxters Corner, NB; one brother Russell (Betty) Rodgers; and one sister Helen Dalling, both of Baxters Corner, NB.; five grandchildren, Sarah, Cody, Levon, Alyssa, and Colby. He is predeceased by a daughter Tracey Rodgers and brother-in-law Gordon Dalling. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visiting will be held on Monday, 2-4,7-9 PM, with funeral Tuesday, August 17, 2004 11:00 AM, in Brenan's Chapel, interment will follow in St Barnabas Cemetery, Barnesville, NB.
