CASEY, KEVIN EARL JOSEPH - 49, Bedford, passed away peacefully August 16, 2004, in the Palliative Care Unit, QE II, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Teresa Margaret (Duffy) Casey and the late Earl Joseph Bertram Casey. Kevin was a dedicated and successful Allstate Agent. He will be dearly missed by his numerous friends with whom he enjoyed spending time. He was an avid boater and loved being on the water. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, his motorcycle and travelling. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his beloved children. Kevin lived life to the fullest until the very end. He is survived by his wife Chantal (Mercier); sons, David (10) and Ryan (4); sister Ester-Ann; brothers Stephen and John Paul (Linda); nieces Charlotte and Katherine; sister-in-law Claude Mercier; brother-in-law Charles Mercier; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Halifax. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004 in St. Pius X, Rev. Johni Mathew officiating. Cremation following the mass. Burial at a later date. Family flowers only please.
