LESLIE, MARION LAURA - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on August 23, 2004, Mrs. Marion Laura (McInnis) Leslie, 80, wife of Richard Archie Leslie, of St. George, NB. Born on March 19, 1924 in Lowell, Mass., USA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Bugbee McInnis (1882-1959) and Selina (Cowdell) McInnis (1896-1987). A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Richard; one son, Archie (Darlene) of St. George; four grandsons, Michael, Joseph, Scott and Dwayne; three great-grandchildren, Trent, Athena and Diedra; several cousins and nieces. Marion was predeceased by one brother, Walter McInnis and three sisters, Rheta Matthews, Viola Keniston and Grace Bigney. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Marion was the co-owner of Leslie's Groceries in St. George and was a member of the the Back Bay Church of Christ. Resting at the Church of Christ, Back Bay, with visiting on Tuesday, August 24th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will held from the church at 2 pm on Wednesday with Conrad Cline officiating, followed by interment in the Cummings Cove Cemetery, Deer Island, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the IWK or the Shriners "Charlotte County Transportation Fund", or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
