BRIGGS, WINIFRED VERA - The death of Winifred Briggs of Aroostook occurred on September 3, 2004 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 91. She is survived by one daughter Ruth (John) Mooney of Carleton Place, ONT.; two sons Blake (Carol) Briggs of Riverview and Grant (Joyce) Briggs of Hamilton, ONT.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters Alberta Crouse of Fredericton, Mary (John) Pelrine and Norma Wallace all of Aroostook; two brothers Paul (Marie) Hanscome of California Settlement and James Hanscome of Dartmouth. Predeceased by husband Hebert Briggs, parents Frederick and Zenobia Grant. Resting at the United Baptist Church, Aroostook with visiting hours on Saturday September 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday September 5 at 2 PM with Rev. Michael Palmer and Rev. Harold Sparks officiating. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
